Abstract/Notes
In light of the general problems of petrogenesis of alkaline rocks, the issues of location, composition and genetic types of deposits of nepheline and other types of ores as a possible source of alumina raw materials are discussed. Characteristics of the deposits of the USSR and some foreign countries are given, recommendations are made for belts of new deposits in certain regions. Issues of economics and technology for the integrated use of nepheline raw materials for the production of alumina, aluminum and other products are considered.
