Abstract/Notes | Presently used techniques were found to be unsuitable in monitoring intermediate rates of river bank erosion. Sequential bank profiling from a fixed baseline using a stadia rod for vertical control and another stadia rod, Brunton compass, and metre rule for horizontal control provides a rapid, accurate representation of river bank changes, using inexpensive, readily available equipment. |
