I am a New England Mineral collector located in Connecticut. I started collecting in 2006 and joined the Lapidary and Mineral Society of Central Connecticut in 2009. My first trip was to the Hale-Walker quarry where I found a hexagonal section of beryl on the surface of the dumps. The majority of my collection is made up of beryl followed by many other pegmatic minerals such as columbite, quartz, and garnet. I mainly self collect my specimens from old abandoned quarries and pegmatites in CT
